It's like a jester suit I guess, like a banana jester.

The design of the whole image is meant to be simple enough that it's very easy to look at, so you can take the whole thing in at once, that's what I was going for at least.

For most of the painting I wasn't sure what she was going to be holding onto. I had pretty much the entire girl done, and she was just floating there with her arms winged out on a white background. I decided to go with something that would show her reflection, because she's in a good position to have a reflection >.> I had thought about making a silver platter at first, I don't remember why I changed my mind but it ended up as the silver cylinder thing.

I didn't bother to work the reflection out accurately, I just painted it loosely off of what I thought she would look like from behind. Technically you wouldn't be able to see her reflection because of the angle of the mirror from the viewpoint, but sometimes you have to break the rules

I've made some minor edits on this picture since originally posting it.
