I'll have something that's actually NEW to post next time, just trying to fill in a time gap here.

Lineart to the rumpelstiltskin picture and how it translated into color.

This was the intended composition, but I read the dimensions wrong. I was making it 12" wide by 9" tall, it was supposed to be the other way around. That's why the final painting has a lot of extra space on the top and bottom.

cool image of repelsteeltje (as we call it in holland) the mood really translates and good use of the contrast of high and low saturated colors!

that's some good composition and COLORING. =D

although i did find rumpelstiltskin very doll-like, hehe.. i mean, it's like he has no bones at all. :XD:

i dig it though, i just like the exaggeration you made on rumpelstiltskin. :XD:

dammit soxman. everytime i see how u turn your sketch into colors it just keep me envious. I really like the way u presented this one. i mean as u had the sketch on top and finished stuff below. its gonna be a good reference for me. hahah~ cya around man.

ooooh. even just the lineart looks wonderful. :heart:
and somehow the blue shade with the cream color reminds me of the old story books with the duo-tone prints.
